Video Game Rentals DeliveredIf you are familiar with Netflix, you will understand how GameFly works. For a monthly membership fee, you can rent video games for as long as you want through the mail. When you are done with one game, you return it in a prepaid mailer, and the next game on your list is shipped to you. There are never any late fees, and you can cancel any time you wish. Games are also available for purchase.

Judging from the comments I’ve found about GameFly, the only complaint people seem to have about them is that they only have one shipping center, located on the West Coast. Therefore, if you live a significant distance away, your turnaround time can get a bit longer than you may like.

GameFly also offers an introductory price as low as $8.95 for the first month so you can try the service to see if it works for you. You can also sign up for a 10-day free trial to test them out.

  • Website: www.gamefly.com
  • 10-day FREE trial is available
  • Membership: $15.95/month membership.
  • You can also purchase games at up to 50% off retail price.
  • A huge selection of games are available for Wii, Nintendo DS, XBox 360, PS3, PSP, PS2, XBox, GameCube, and Gameboy Advance.

User Testimonials:

I’ve used Gamefly for about 2 years now, and for the most part, I’ve been happy with their service. The only major problem, like most people, is turn around time. I live in MS, and to send a game back takes about 4 days. When they ship it, it gets here in 2 days. Games aren’t exactly as critical as movies when it comes to turn around, because games take a lot longer to play through, so that’s not much of a concern for me.

Me and my brother have been with Gamefly for a few months and over all it is worth it. It has saved us on buying a few games because while the 5 days most stores have is rarely enough to beat a game usually 14 days is max we have kept a game unless it is really good and we want to buy it. Overall I like them and think they are doing a good job.

The thing I really liked about Gamefly was the ability to keep a game if you didn’t feel like returning it. They usually had good deals on used games also.
